Regeneration Begins with you
Permaculture Design: Learn, Plan, & Create
Saturday, Oct 10 202612:00pm - 1:00pm10020 Hambright Rd, Huntersville, NC 28078
Curious about permaculture but not sure where to start? We’ll explore the foundations of permaculture design and learn how to “read” a landscape through basic site analysis, looking at sun, wind, water, soil, zones, and the relationships between them. Then, you’ll put those observations into practice by sketching out your own site and creating a simple permaculture layout, discovering how plants and other elements can be thoughtfully placed to work together. No design experience needed—just bring your curiosity, and leave with a new way of seeing the land and some ideas you can take home and grow with.
growing within: Permaculture for the inner landscape
Saturday, Oct 10 20266:00pm - 7:00pm10020 Hambright Rd, Huntersville, NC 28078
What if we applied the principles of permaculture not just to the land, but to ourselves? In this reflective and hands-on workshop, we’ll turn inward to explore our inner landscapes, the relationships between different parts of ourselves, and how we might learn to work with what’s already growing within us. Through guided reflection and journaling, we’ll use permaculture philosophy as a tool for self-discovery, personal growth, and inner regeneration. Come slow down, get curious about what’s growing within you, and explore how inner regeneration can become a starting point for creating change in the world around us.
Reimagine Earth: An introduction to permaculture
for UNC students
Earth Month - April 2027time: TBDUNC Charlotte - 9201 University City Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28223 (exact location TBD)
This four-week Earth Month workshop invites UNC Charlotte students to explore permaculture as a creative framework for understanding our relationship with Earth, ourselves, and the systems we are part of.
Through conversation, reflection, creativity, and outdoor exploration, we’ll explore permaculture ethics and principles while looking at how regenerative thinking can shape the way we see, design, and interact with the world around us.
You don’t need to know anything about permaculture to join. Come curious, come open-minded, and come ready to see your surroundings in a new way.
Over the four weeks, we’ll connect those observations to permaculture, systems thinking, and regenerative design—giving you space to question, imagine, create, and explore what a more regenerative future could look like.
🌿 Day One: Come Ready to Observe
For our first session, we’ll step outside and practice something surprisingly powerful: simply paying attention.
Bring whatever helps you connect with and observe nature in a way that feels natural to you. Maybe that’s:
A meditation practice
📓 A journal or sketchbook
🎨 Art supplies
📷 A camera or phone for photography
🧺 A blanket to sit on
🎧 Headphones for quiet reflection
🔍 A magnifying glass or anything that helps you notice details
👀 Or simply yourself and your curiosity
Big ideas, real impact.
