Hi, I’m Ananda.

It is so great to meet you!

I’m a Permaculture Designer & Educator based in Charlotte, NC, but my journey toward this work began long before I knew the word permaculture.

In 2017, I watched Cowspiracy, and it sent me down a transformative rabbit hole into food systems, agriculture, and our relationship with the natural world. I was heartbroken by the ways our industrial food system extracts from the land and the ecosystems that sustain us. I knew I wanted to be part of creating something different. The seed was planted.

Before I ever discovered permaculture, I was already deeply drawn to education and working with the next generation. As a Youth Program Coordinator with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania, I discovered how much I loved creating programs, developing curriculum, and creating meaningful learning experiences for young people. Education became another important part of my path—and another seed I wanted to nurture.

That path eventually led me to a market farm in Georgia, where I found so much joy in growing nourishing food for families. But another question began to take root: Why should healthy, nutrient-dense food and a healthy relationship with the land be a privilege? I wanted to understand how we could create systems that cared for both people and the Earth—not simply produce food more efficiently.

A few years later, while living in Ohio, another door opened. I began working at a permaculture education farm, and for the first time, I encountered a philosophy that brought so many of the questions I had been carrying together. Permaculture felt like an answer. It offered a way of seeing the world through relationships, patterns, cycles, and interconnected systems—and a way of designing with nature rather than working against it. It helped me see that the challenges we face aren't isolated problems; they are part of larger systems, and meaningful change requires us to understand those connections.

I decided to nurture that seed by studying Regenerative Organic Agriculture at Maharishi International University, where I also earned my Permaculture Design Certificate. Today, I’m bringing my two passions together: regeneration and education. Through permaculture design, curriculum development, workshops, and ecological education, I create spaces for people to learn, question, connect, and see themselves as part of the systems they have the power to shape.

I believe meaningful change begins with the way we see the world. When we learn to recognize the connections between people, land, food, communities, and the systems that sustain us, we can begin creating a future that is healthier, more equitable, and more alive. At the heart of my work is a deep love for Mother Earth and a belief that by nurturing both people and the places we call home, we can create a healthier world for everyone.

At the heart of my work are the core permaculture ethics that guide every step of the process. This ethical foundation shapes how I support and empower you on your permaculture journey, providing personalized guidance and practical solutions that nurture your relationship with the land. Together, we foster harmony between people, place, and planet—helping you create a sustainable, abundant future that truly serves your needs and dreams.
